I just got back from a quick girl’s weekend in New York City with my mom, sister and the gals in my boyfriend’s family/extended family. There were 12 of us in all and we had an amazing time!
It rained all day Friday so we went to the Manus x Machina exhibit at The Met. It was my first time at the museum and OMG I could spend days there! The fashion exhibit was insane, I am truly in awe of the talented designers and what they are able to create with their hands… I mean there were dresses made out of plastic drinking straws and others made out of coral and shells. My explanations can’t do any of it justice, so just go see it for yourselves! After the museum we had dinner and drinks at a small Italian restaurant and called it an early night.
On Saturday my mom, sister and I got up and did some exploring of our own. The weather was perfect and we just spent the morning wandering through Times Square and the surrounding area. We had lunch on Restaurant Row at the cutest Mexican place called Sangria 46. They had an open back patio, homemade chips and salsa and delicious sangria- what more could you ask for?!
Stay tuned for New York, New York Part 2 with my recap of Broadway and shopping on 5th Ave!
